Obituary for Joanne Louise Turecki (Carlson)
Joanne Louise Turecki (nee Carlson) 83, of North Tonawanda died peacefully at home on February 26,2022 surrounded by her family. Wife of the late Dr. Dudley E. Turecki. Loving mother of Kim (William) Chiodo, Valerie Turecki-Dorton, Robert (Anna) Turecki, James (Fiancée Vivian Daly), Kathleen (David) Fike, Philip Turecki and Jennifer Cruz and a dear daughter-in-law Dina Spiropoulos. Proud grandmother of Joseph (Fiancée Jaime Roth), Annalise (Fiancé Daniel Spritzer), Natalie, Jalen, Emily, Alexander, Lauren, Grace, Theodore, Samuel, Sophia, Colin (Brittany), Caroline, Anya, Isabella, Anthony, Mia, Eva and Eliana. Sister of Stanley Carlson, Michael Yahn, Patricia Spitz and the late Sally Fiorella. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Joanne was a Registered Nurse and worked until her retirement at Millard Fillmore Gates Circle Hospital. She loved her grandchildren, her cherished friends from The Millard Fillmore School of Nursing and the Pasciak Family. She enjoyed traveling, spending time on the “border”, storytelling and painting. Memorials may be made to Twin Cities Meals on Wheels or Niagara Hospice, Inc. Services are private. Arrangements by the Brunner Funeral Home.
