Obituary for James F. Phillips

James F. Phillips, “Doc” 88, of Tonawanda went home to be with the Lord on Saturday January 15, 2022. Loving father of James F. (Colleen) Phillips, Jr, Patricia (Arnold) Dier III, and Patrick (Leann) Phillips. Daughter in Heart Gale (Edward) Armstrong and Linda Spring. Proud grandfather, “Gramps” - “Gahgoo” of Zach Phillips, Scott Phillips, Matthew (Annette) Dier, Sara (Jeremiah) Britt, Noah (Julie) Dier, Eric (Jaime) Dier, Nathan (Stephanie) Dier, Nicole (Erich) Brunner, Hannah Stone, Nehemiah Stone, Rebekah Stone and the late Ralph Stone, Jr.

Also survived by 22 great grandchildren. Brother of Richard Phillips from New Lexington, OH and William (Bonnie) Phillips of Blandsburgh PA. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Friends received by the family on Thursday 4-7 P.M. at the Cornerstone Bible Baptist Church, 5810 Buffalo Street, Sanborn, NY 14132. Funeral Services will be held on Friday morning at 11:00 followed by interment at Acacia Park Cemetery.

Jim was a Korean Conflict U. S. Army Veteran, He retired from the North Tonawanda School Board where he was a Custodian for over thirty years. A loving man, he loved his church, his Bibles, his family and his country. Jim always had a smile on his face and a kind word for his fellow man. His sense of humor was infectious. Jim enjoyed his summers in Franklinville at his summer home on his tractor or tinkering with just about anything because “Grampa’s are for Loving and Fixing Things.”
