Obituary for Robin Lee "Babe" Conlan (Gearhart)

Robin “Babe” Gearhart Conlan was born in North Tonawanda, NY on November 15, 1956. She entered Heaven’s gates on September 2, 2020 in Lockport, NY with her family by her side.

Robin, known as Babe to pretty much everyone, was predeceased by her parents James and Mary Gearhart, and her sister Diane Gearhart.

She was married to Terrence Conlan in 1973. She is survived by her husband Terry, the five children they had together: Terrence (Carla) Conlan, Amber (James) Fitzgerald, Adam (Lisa) Conlan, Jeremy (Scott) Conlan, Katie Conlan; nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren; her sisters Carol (the late James) Osmon, Mary (David) Baker; and many nieces and nephews.

Babe loved cooking, crochet, reading, music, and dancing, but above all else her family was what mattered most. She loved her kids immensely and instilled strong values that have served them well.

She had a huge heart, she cared for everyone she met, she would take in strays (dogs and people) without question, and always had a fresh pot of coffee on for anyone who came by for a late night chat. She was definitely not shy and would give you her opinion on everything, whether you asked for it or not. Her biggest strength (and biggest annoyance to everyone around her) was her fierce stubbornness. Sadly for the spouses of her children, she passed that on to them. We know it was her stubbornness that kept her with us all these years. For that we are thankful.
