THOMAS JOSEPH SNOPKOWSKI
BORN: North Tonawanda, New York
September 28th 1942
Tom Snopkowski, 76, passed away April 11th 2019 in Las Vegas where he retired with his beloved Donna back in 2001. Tom, born in North Tonawanda, Son Joe and Theresa Snopkowski, father to Tom, Todd (Daniela) and Tracy, Papa to – Steven(Carley), Skyler and Christopher, great papa to Luke and Jack. Tom is survived by his sister, Ann Ross and her wonderful family.
Dad Loved Sports, the outdoors and his friends so much that he turned down several baseball scholarships to enlist in the US Navy with his friends in 1961. If you knew Tom this will not come as a surprise. Born and raised a resident of North Tonawanda where Tom’s commitment to people and community was clear in 1972, when he graduated from the Police Academy. Tom’s career as a police officer and detective, allowed him to do what he loved and was good at, making the world a safer, better place. After a decorated and dedicated 30 years of service to his hometown, Tom and Donna followed their dreams and friends to Vegas in 2001. They found a beautiful gated neighborhood where they lived, creating tremendous friendships and relationships that one would only expect. It was only a matter of time before Tom would become President of the Association where he volunteered his time to keep the neighborhood safe, and sound.
Papa loved his family and friends near and far and in celebration of Dads life, relatives and friends are invited to gather with Tom’s Family at Brunner Funeral Home located at 156 Robinson St, North Tonawanda, NY 14120 on Friday May 31st from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm.
Please join us Saturday June 1st at 10:00 at St Jude’s Church 800 Niagara Falls Blvd. North Tonawanda, NY 14120. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Acacia Park Cemetery.
